At the time I submitted this I didn’t know your name so I was unable to address you as I ought, but this post is undoubtedly one of the most powerful and beautiful posts that I have ever read. I read through it slowly and prayerfully because of it’s deep and enduring truths. At the end of the post, God’s Holy Spirit brought this Scripture to my mind, 1 John 1:9 NASB: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The reason that this Scripture stands is because we are making our supplication to “He”. Jesus, acknowledging who He is, understanding His righteousness and faithfulness versus our own and our dependence is in Him to cleanse us from our own unrighteousness. Because of this post of yours, that reality became so much clearer and I am indebted to you for that. Like you, I have very little free time but I wanted to let you know that I will be reposting your post because of its enduring clarity of the finality of God’s provision of righteousness in His Son and the faithfulness that He and He alone extends towards us that believe and trust in Him.
