We live in a world whose foundations were laid in the Gospel. The Gospel is more than a proposition. It is a tale of adventure and of love, of being pursued by God. This story is more than an event to be told, for as we behold it, we come to see Jesus, our beloved. The story sweeps us off our feet and becomes our breath, our drink, our food, our joy, and our life. It saturates us and drowns us in the depths of its beauty and love. My hope is to give a glimpse into splendor and enveloping love of God as we behold his face as we are held in His embrace.

My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:8, ESV)

My Hope:

My hope is to develop resources that equip others to understand and internalize this story. This story can’t be mere propositions but must be in our blood or breath or thoughts as we wake and sleep and as we walk by the way. We must have strong sense and realization that we have come into a Kingdom that is not of this world and be captured by its beauty. When we are enraptured by this, when we speak truth to the world, the mountains will shake and tremble, for the word of the Lord is powerful and able to overcome the strongholds of a hard heart.

I hope that what I write is like a simple servant who prepares and helps to place the armor on a glorious, brave, and mighty knight. But not what I write, but as you are pointed to God’s word, which truly equips us as a royal priesthood to proclaim the Gospel to the world.

Let us gather around the fire of God’s word and experience the light and heat of the Gospel as we listen to the story, and it envelopes us and sinks into our hearts, breath, blood, flesh and bones saturating us with the love of God.

Warning: What I write will only be as effective as it points you to the scripture. My words mean nothing. Embrace God’s word. Go to the scripture as your treasure and joy. The scripture is God breathed and it alone can change the mind and heart and it alone can equip you.

Design (Plan for the future):

Right now, this site is mostly a blog. But with time, on this site, Lord willing, you will find writings, courses, and resources for the young child or the very old. For the person new to the faith as well as the one who has been in the journey for a long time. For the homeschooler to the researcher and scholar. A picture of what I want this to be is that of people sitting by a campfire enjoy hearing a good storyteller. Whether young or old, they are drawn in by the passion and eloquence of the story. I don’t claim my writing has eloquence, but the Gospel does and even in our inadequacy and floundering attempts, the Holy Spirit is at work and so all those in the faith are storytellers. My hope is to give resources that capture both the mind and heart, as we are all caught up in this beautiful story together.
